What would be the better option at Uni.
    Hi,
I'm surrently studying Law, History, Biology and Religious studies at AS level i'm thinking of dropping Law so I still have a varied mix of subjects (some humanities, one science) I was thinking of taking History at university, however I intend to go to south africa to voulenteer on a lion sanctuary. After this I think i'll be pulled more towards working on one of these sanctuarys than working as a historian, I suppose it's being torn between the more enjoyable and the more practical. Is there alot of jobs in wildlife conservation? Would it be a wasted oppurtunity by doing a conservation degree insted of a history one?
Look forward to your replies thank you

I haven't got a clue which one will be better or anything. But I do know that you should go for one which you can enjoy
If you're doing something more practical just for the sake of it rather than something you enjoy then you're gonna have a bad time, wishing you were doing the other!
Sure, you have to be realistic, maybe there aren't a lot of secure jobs in doing what you enjoy, you could have some bad times, but once you're doing what you love then you'll be happy! It's up to you really

I know I wouldn't want to go to uni to secure something practical if I could go for what I loved doing.

    But that's just me.

    And I'm crazy

Just saying, virtually no one who does a history degree ends up becoming a historian!
