When to start accommodation hunting - Edinburgh
    Hey hey!
I'm going to Napier uni in September and ill be moving from Ireland.
Just wondering if anyone has any idea of when and how to go about getting accommodation? I'm not interested really in on campus flats etc. More looking to the Morningside area because of placement etc!!

No idea what to do ha!
    Thanks!!!

    Hi Sarah,

As it happens, my flatmates and I will be leaving our 3 double bedroom Morningside flat this august! It's right across from Waitrose, and within a 10 minute walk to two Napier buildings. I also know that there's a third a short bus ride away. Don't know what they're all called unfortunately as I don't study at the university. Anyway, not sure if anyone else has nabbed it yet but we've only had two viewings so I doubt it. It's through Crichton Stuart, could be worth a look!

Anyway, to answer your question, I'd start looking now if I were you. Flat companies normally put listings up around Easter time and that's when most people start hunting, in my experience. I'm sure you know of gumtree already, but if not then that's definitely the place to look. I've used it to find both flats and flatmates with great success.

    Good luck!

I was still on my management block but the person im movin in with was off so she done most of the looking and came across some horrors as well. It would look really nice on the website and then you'd turn up and wouldnt even want to go in apparently. I pick up my keys next week as well. What area did you manage to get in the end?
