Regional vs London Work
Hi,
I'm considering working in audit or advisary, though I was reading through the Risk Consulting - Tech description and I've seen it's possible to do the ACA, and thats a big plus for me. I'm not sure how useful qualifications are later in my career, but it definitely seems a lot more useful than CIMA.
My question is, for consulting and audit, how different is it to be in a regional office, say Reading or Bristol (Though I noticed you can't to Consulting and ACA in Bristol) compared to London?
In London are you more likely to be dealing with larger projects, but in larger teams and so have less of an overall view of the project, compared to being in a regional office where you work on smaller projects but are more involved in the project as a whole?
I'm currently in my penultimate year, so I won't be applying for a graduate job until after the summer, but how soon can I apply for a 2013 start?
Thank you,
Mike -
Re: Regional vs London Work
Hi Mike,
Thanks for your question!
In order to establish whether a career in Audit or Advisory is right for you, why not take one of our interactive Self Selection Questionnaires? http://www.kpmgcareers.co.uk/Graduat....aspx?pg=10181
In addition, I would recommend doing some research in to the ACA/CIMA qualifications to find out which you'd prefer/be more suited to (see professional body websites). Further research may help you make up your mind re London vs. a regional office.
Why not have a read through our people profiles in order to learn more about our offices/clients? http://www.kpmgcareers.co.uk/Graduat...6).aspx?pg=256
We will be opening our 2013 opportunities on or around the 1st of July so please keep an eye on our website and apply early to avoid disappointment!
All the best,
Lizzie.
