Think I've won my parents round to getting me/contributing to a set of custom in-ear headphones, fingers crossed. Turns out they were planning on getting me an iPad, so it's not too large a jump really.

My parents have said that they want to buy me something I'll keep for years and years i.e. a watch or similar but I don't know if I want a nice watch as I just wear cheap ones and so I can replace them when they break but unsure what to ask for

At least it did for me. The smaller tech related sub-reddits are good, but I can't stand the front page stuff these days (I despise /r/athiesm and /r/f7u12 so much I had to filter them out) and the whole circlejerky nature of it.

I made an account the day I discovered reddit to delete most of the default subs, reddit becomes an even more addictive website without the crap you get in r/atheism and r/poltics, amongst others.
