    Holiday Destination Recommendations?
    Hey!
So my boyfriend and I are hoping to go on holiday in June (I have only just figured out when I will be finishing my first year) and I have NO idea where we should go. If you go onto the websites like Thomas Cook etc. you have to have some idea of your destination before you can even begin.
I'm not really fussed on what is there to be honest, as long as it is sunny, there is a beach and there is a bit of a nightlife I am happy! Any suggestions?
I also am not sure on whether or not we should look at all inclusive or not etc? I went to Tunisia with a friend last year after finishing the IB and we went all inclusive then (it was super cheap.. £330 for 2 weeks all inclusive) and spent all our time just relaxing by the pool. But I'm not sure if it's worth it this time, my boyfriend is a picky eater and in some ways I don't see the point in going all inclusive if he won't eat?
Sorry if this isn't the right place for this thread.. No idea where to stick it LOL!
    Any suggestions would be awesome!

Yeah I looked at some of these, found a reasonable one to Ibiza for £551 but I'm still not sure. I hate being this indecisive! That and I really don't know if it's worth all inclusive or not.
    Thank you though!

Tenerife is really lovely- playa de las americas in particular! Me and my boyfriend are off there late May- early June for £400 each all inclusive!

Palma Nova in Majorca is also lovely and you can get some fab deals! We went there last year

Wow that is really good! Unfortunately we can't go until at LEAST the 9th of June as my boyfriend has to work til then, which is a pain because all the better deals are at the end of May really!

When I went last year with my friend we went at the end of May and it was so cheap. It was last minute though so maybe that's not surprising? Gutted I can't do that this time as my boyfriend has to give 30 days notice to work

I will have a look at those places though!

Oh and p.s dont worry about your bf's pickyness with food- mine is too! Food in Palma and Tenerife is really cheap if its English food he is after- e.g. Lasagna, burgers etc.. a huge - and delicious! lasagna was about 4 euros!
    - but most hotels do cater for this as well! There was always chips every night at a minimum!

LOL he is rather ridiculous, he doesn't eat pasta or anything healthy really. Pizza, chips, burgers.. and is still slim! (What a git?!) I said to him about Tunisia and how they had all the chips and pizza etc. when I went with my friend (she is almost as bad) so I guess that's a positive thing!

I looked at those places on Thomas Cook and they are each about £700 all inclusive. OUCH. LOL! I think they really should do discounts for Students.. I AM POOR! xxx

My bf is the same- anything green is a no, my bf has IBS and cant eat pasta or white bread, but loves a lot of red meat! He too isn't big!

Try not looking at all inclusive but half board- I've never done all inclusive, this May will be our first. Half board is breakfast and dinner- really good considering if your going to be out down the day or down the beach you dont have to rush back to your hotel. Or even do room/breakfast only- food is SO cheap out like I said and you have choice

We went to Palma 26th June and for half board didnt pay more than about 350 I dont think!

Look at First Choice- thats who we have booked Tenerife with!

LOL I know the feeling, I love fruit and stuff and he's not really one for anything healthy. But all the unhealthy stuff he actually loves! And it doesn't effect him apparently, where as if I ate all that stuff I would be HUGE!

I looked at the half-board and even the self-catering ones now too, just feel like I haven't found anything useful and getting a bit fed up with it really! And now my boyfriend has just told me that because one of the guys he works with is having the first week of June off and his boss is having the last week off he is ONLY allowed the full two weeks between, although it is a hell of a lot cheaper to go mid-week to mid-week. Rather peaved to be honest. He works his arse off and then can't even take holidays the time he wants.. GRR! Rant over. Sorry haha!

Just looked at First Choice Ibiza looks good! xxx

We will haha! His bosses wife works there too so no doubt we can convince her to get him to change his holiday just a little haha! She loves me
Ahhh I wish we could do that but what with currently not having a job (apparently working hard at college and school counts for nothing as I don't have enough 'experience' to work behind a bloody counter in a shop! haha) and so will end up paying with either savings or my loan! So gotta wait til that comes through to be honest
Oh yeah that sounds nice of them! I am looking for a job at home now, instead of where I live at Uni, and handing out CV's and a Cover Letter with the words 'starting mid-June' on it, hopefully they won't hate me for wanting a holiday! LOL! xxx

    Re: Holiday Destination Recommendations?
Why not just book a couple of flights from Easyjet to somewhere like Spain or Portugal or Sardinia, and stay in a youth hostel? I'm going to Portugal for two weeks in the middle of June - return flight from London Luton to Lisbon was £70 or £80, and 15 nights in youth hostels in both Lisbon and Lagos (in the Algarve) worked out at just below £10 a night on average. Lagos sounds like it could be your thing - theres some amazing beaches nearby apparently, and has a really good nightlife. It has historical interest too which is a good thing IMO (I'm going for that plus the beaches really, rather than the nightlife, though I daresay I will have a couple of drinks in some of the more non-touristy bars).

I booked my flights a couple of months ago so they'll cost a little more now, plus if you were only going to Lagos then you'd be flying to Faro anyway rather than Lisbon, which costs more to get to than Lisbon. But even so, on www.skyscanner.net it says that a return to Faro (leaving from Stanstead and returning to Gatwick) from 9th-23rd June is £143. Add £140 onto that for 14 night's accommodation in a youth hostel (though if you look at www.hostelbookers.com, you can see that a private room costs as little £8.25 per night), and it works out at only £283 - so you have lots of money left over for food, going out, and any shopping you might want to do. Plus insurance, I suppose.

Thanks! I never even thought of that to be honest, as I'm only 19 and my boyfriend is the same age I'm pretty paranoid about going somewhere and not really having any idea what I am doing LOL! Although I am now looking at maybe flying to Murcia in Spain as I have relatives who live there so I'd only have to pay for the flights! And let's be honest.. As long as there is sun I think most people are happy! Haha
    Thank you though xxx

Why not try Egypt? Look into the Red Sea region, for example: Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada etc... if you want to relax, have fun, great weather.
