Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

    Independence Day sequels
Ok so im currently watching Independence Day 1 and this film is awesome! I love it but i am reading a few articles online about the sequels there is supposedly two new scrips being made and they might not even include will smith due to him asking for too much money. Well anyway back onto the point im trying to make HOW could they do this? They beat the aliens and saved the world  the only way they could do it is if they did it around the same time but in a different city/country.

What are your views theories?

I heard they were making a 2 and 3 due out like 2013/14, nearly 20 years after the first. I was just baffled as to why, but I heard Will Smith was in both of them?

Wow, it's going to be so bad. It's just an excuse to make a special effects fest. There's going to be less plot than the original.
