    How lenient are Loughborough?
Basically, put down Loughborough as a bit of an ambitious choice and didn't really think that I'd get the offer due to my piss poor AS grades and below requirement predictions. Anyway, turns out that they did in fact give me an offer and would LOVE to go there, but a bit worried about meeting the requirements. Anybody have any stories of them not meeting the requirements, yet still being allowed in? I'd be silly not to firm it as its leagues above my other offers.

Depends on any number of things which you have no way of knowing (how oversubscribed they are, how your results compare to other people who missed their offers, etc) so to be honest there's no point trying to guess how lenient they'd be. Assume that if you don't meet the offer you won't be going to Loughborough.

Criminology and Social policy - 300 UCAS points so BBB/ABC, whereas i'm thinking I'm more likely to get BBC, and an A in my extended project (but I doubt that'll help). Its not going to be an oversubscribed course, but I think places are limited due to the fact it isn't a hugely popular course. I'm more than capable of getting the grades, but just feel that there is a possibility that I could slip up and I wouldn't be able to get halls at my uni that I'd put down as insurance, which is important to me. I do have the advantage of having a decent sporting background though, which is one of the factors that I believe initially got me the offer, but I wouldn't think that this would sway them at all.

I want to do Air Transport Mgt. 280 UCAS pt's but on my UCAS app I put down (truthfully) that I failed my first year of AS with 3 U's and having repeated a year I got BCDD; think I'll get an offer if they want BBC? Anyone?

Anything non engineering/non sport/non business school, there really isn't that much demand [ie like 3:1 - 6:1 places for mechanical engineering] so you've got a very good chance of getting in.

I've firmed Loughborough for the same course and same offer and have the same grades worry as you! I got BBC at AS and got predicted ABC, but it could even end up being BBD :| But Criminology isn't thaaaat popular, so I'm hoping that if you drop 1 or two grades they'll still let you in. It just depends how many people have applied this year.
