Burning skin sensation?
At the moment it feels like I have a bad sunburn all around my stomach and around the back and underneath my arms near the armpits and around the back there a little too. There are no visible rashes, marks, or anything. I've heard this can be brought on by anxiety but I'm not anxious about anything. It started on Sunday and has gotten worse and spread since.
I've just been to the GP and they didn't know what it was. Nor did she seem to care at all and seemed very rude. She made me feel like I was wasting her time because there was nothing to see.
Does anyone know what this is? It's very unusual and I've never had it before. It hurts just to walk around because of my clothes brushing the skin.Last edited by RobertWhite; 17-04-2012 at 16:15. -
Re: Burning skin sensation?
I'm really confused about how useless GP's can be sometimes.
Have you ever had chicken pox?
If a rash appears in the next few days (and it will if it's what I think it is) then go back to your GP or see a different one. You are looking for a rash in a particular shape, not like a blob or spread round an area but almost as if it follows a line. If so, it's very likely to be shingles, and your GP will probably give you anti virals (but you must see the GP as quickly as possible if you see a rash, or the anti virals won't do anything).
