I think you need to decide whether you're applying for Architecture or Pharmacy, since they're so different. After all, you're going to have to choose between them before you fill in your UCAS, unless you fancy the challenge of making your personal statement somehow applicable to both.

I'd say Maths and Art are useful for Architecture. Bio, Chem are probably required for Pharmacy (I'm not sure about this, you should check if they are required or only recommended and if any other subjects are required). So

    Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Art

would probably be a good combination.

That's true. Though if she only applies to university 1.5 years from now she might wish to keep her options open until then.

I am almost certain you will need a science (not including maths) for pharmacy, I have a friend who applied she had maths, biology and chemistry for A2s. I can't be sure though. What i would say is you will most likely struggle which chemistry if you're currently on a C in additional science, I found it really difficult even getting an A* at GCSE chemistry, also don't underestimate biology, also very difficult.

As for Architecture, all you will need is art, so hopefully you will have made a decision by the end of AS anyway and so will be able to have useful subjects for your course. Yes architecture is difficult to get into but not all universities ask for AAA, i had an offer from Newcastle of AAB and Northumbria is pretty highly rated but only asks for ABB. BUT if architecture is under consideration you really will need to continue with art, I doubt it will be a problem having art for pharmacy, especially if you only do up to AS.
