Where do I find the grade boundaries?

If I got an A* in the ISA that would be 90+ in UMS right? Are the UMS marks for each grade fixed?

If you got an A* you'd have 90%+ UMS... not necessarily 90+/100 UMS though. It could be 45+/50 UMS, or 54+/60 UMS, or so on and so forth.

The UMS marks for each grade are fixed but the RAW MARKS or the marks you require on the paper aren't fixed. Raw mark to UMS conversion is explained here:

Yeah, the UMS for the isa is out of 100. So 90 is 90% .. makes sense.

In my biology isa i got 30/40 which is 75% so around 75 ums I assume?

    Depends on the grade boundaries

Just had a look - if the unit is BLYC then 30/40 is JUST a B which is 70/100 UMS.

Yeah that includes PSA because the paper is out of 34 and PSA is 6.

Yay! I got 37/40 which is an A* and 95 UMS in the osmosis one.

Have you already done 2 bio ISAs?

    Take it easy!

Starting revision early would help. Knowing and understanding all the content inside out will ease the pressure when it comes to the build up. I think its just important to do practice papers 2-3 weeks before the exam.

I hate my chemistry teacher! She's so slow. We're still on Acids and Bases -.- So I've decided to read ahead.

Oh I need to stop procrastinating - big time.

Does anyone have any idea what the grade boundaries will be for the AQA new specification science ISAs.
