    Physics Lancs working from home
    Hi
    Can anyone tell me how to use tex Text Editor while working from home rather than on a Uniti PC?

    You'll need to install at least two things. Firstly MikTex 2.9
    http://miktex.org/2.9/setup

    This is so that when compiling the script is actually understands what you're doing.

    Secondly you'll want an interface. The one which works best for me (and I am currently using!) is TexMaker:
    http://www.xm1math.net/texmaker/

    For me, once I install both of these things, the quick build function worked without any fuss.

    I think he just means doing the coursework assignment at home rather than on uni pcs. We need additional software that most pcs don't already have.
