    Starting Under 18
Hiya, I've firmed Leeds for 2012 entry but will only be 17 when I start
Does anyone know if this affects anything? Or will people be in the same situation/have been in? x

Do you mean in terms of nightlife? How long in to the term do you turn 18?
I don't go to Leeds, but at my uni there were a few people who were still seventeen during freshers. I don't think it affected them majorly as they could still come to predrinks and things before club nights, and there were a few halls events in hall bars that they could get in to and wasn't a problem. So in yeah in terms of going out I don't think they really missed out that much, but I don't know if you are wondering if this affects other things/things specific to leeds!

Partly, but also things like i've heard some place you can't stay in halls until you're 18 and other things like that? November so not TOO long i guess
Okay that's good to know just don't want it to be a huge problem, thank you! x

You can stay in halls although we designate specific ones for under 18s - that way, you'll get to know other people who aren't yet 18 so it won't be a case of all your flatmates being able to go out somewhere that you won't be let in.
Usually it's Charles Morris, Henry Price, Leodis, Devonshire, Lyddon and Clarence Dock.
