Has anyone else had their telephone interview with Betfair for the HR graduate programme? I had mine last Tuesday and the lady said she'd call me on the Thursday to advise whether I'd made it through to the next stage. Over a week later and after several attempts to contact her by phone and email I still haven't heard back or been able to get in touch. Was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat??

Yes I'm in the same position. I had the interview on the 14th and still haven't heard anything back . I haven't tried to contact them because last time they said they would in touch within a week and it took them almost 4 weeks!

How did you find the interview? I was pretty happy after it but it can be so hard to tell.

They got back to me on Monday 27th to say that they were still conducting telephone interviews and would call me at the beginning of next week to advise as to whether I had made it to the face-to-face. They are only inviting 10 people to the assessment centre and one person will be chosen from that 10. Yeh, I was really happy with how mine went. But you never can tell... Fingers crossed!!

Cool , I won't send them a demanding email in that case!

I really hope I get through but it sounds like its going to be very tough with only one person being taken on

I got an email yesterday saying I'd made it to the final stage (further details to follow) Over the moon Yeh, it will be tough. I expect the assessment centre to be gruelling but can't wait

I think one of the most important things is to show that you want to work for this company in particular. Make sure that you're familiar with their market and competitors and definitely mention the betting exchange. Show that you've done some research into the company beyond their own website. I was asked most of the usual questions... when have you worked in a team?; when have you worked under stressful conditions? etc. They want to know what you did and what you got out of those situations.
The person I spoke to was really nice and kept the whole thing quite relaxed so don't worry.

Have you heard anything recently? The last thing I was told was there isn't actually going to be an assessment day but another 3 rounds with 2 interviews and a presentation! Seems crazy, especially for anyone coming up to finals...

I'm in just before you! I have no idea what I'm doing though... and I have 2 essays in this weeks, I'm really starting to feel the pressure!
