Setting up Xbox Live at uni
Posting this in UEA section in case it varies from uni to uni, but any input would be welcomed.

I'm trying to register my xbox 360 for access to the internet, but am completely baffled at the moment.

I have one ethernet cable and one port in my room, and I know that I need to register my Xbox with UEA before I can connect but I haven't got the foggiest idea how to do this.
When registering my laptop, the browser rerouted me to the relevant page for registering when I tried to access the internet, but clearly my Xbox cannot to this.

I'd be grateful for a step by step account of how to register my xbox. I've read some things on the internet like "editing my computers adapter settings and setting the value to the MAC address of my Xbox, and using the laptop to register the xbox", but I have no idea how to actually do this.

Find your xbox's MAC address (Google "xbox mac address" to find how if you don't know) and email it to the IT Helpdesk (it.helpdesk@uea.ac.uk) saying what it is and asking for it to be registered.
