-Trading intern in summer during 1st year at a Prop firm (This was my Prize for Coming first in the challenge)
-Spring week in BB
-(Trade my own account for last 4 years FX)
-Strong EC, u no the usual president of Investment Society, Head of Investment Fund, volunteering,Charity, Sports and all.
-done networking the usual get on linkedin contact alumni going up for event in city all dt

-set up a production with my mates, filming, music videos, event and etc, got our work nominated for Best Music Video, Post Production at British Student Film Festival
-A levels grade (BCC) Maths, Business, Film (did it again since I had 3 years to fill up my gap to gain Home student status Hence cld not be asked to take it seriously, Although did enjoy my film course a lot)
-A levels Equivalent (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, English) Average of 71% in all 5.
The problem is will BB just reject my apps if i dont have any intern this summer in my CV if I apply for grad job. I am still confused shld I go for Intern or Grad for next year as I will be graduating next year. even If I get an intern this summer what Would My chances be over someone whose done an intern at BB but did not get a grad offer.
My plan is if I dont get an Intern this summer is to do cycling charity and then going over asia to do volunteering work through uni in Sept.
Bottom Line is I only wish to work at Banking for 3-4 years even though I love it, Plan is to Make my tuition fees for film School and whisk off to NYU Film school to study Directing. As my heart lies in Filming.
FeedBack would be Appreciated Hugely. will rep u guys. -

All I can say is good luck with a very unlikely chance of you getting hired.
Very unlikely chance? I suppose by 2nd year of Uni you should have at least 5 internships done, manage a million dollar start up, speak 12 languages and win a Grammy to have a chance ....(Original post by hykt)

Re: Advice WantedI think he was mostly pointing out the UCAS tariff requirement (for the most part no retakes permitted) and the lack of motivation that might/could shine through.(Original post by uni-mon)

Re: Advice WantedFYI i already did my A level equivalent in my home country and the converted grade is AAAAA. the only reason I had to do A levels in england was I had 3 years to spend to qualify for Home student status so it was either 3yrs strt work or do 2 years A level and take 1 gap year. I just didnt take it seriously in when I did it in england as I already had the grades.(Original post by Zalachenko)
1. I don't think you'll meet the cut-off from UCAS points.
2. You've been trading for '4 years' in order to get into FICC and then you say you want to work in filming.
All I can say is good luck with a very unlikely chance of you getting hired.
Ps as stated already I had few FO interview already for this summer intern for didnt get the offer. -
Re: Advice WantedAsking this in a totally non-offensive way. 71% average and AAAAA equivalent? Does not add up, as I believe 80 onwards is regarded as an A, no?(Original post by hykt)

Re: Advice WantedWhat do you want me to answer? I was honest. Or would you prefer I praise you like the tool who commented after me? You start off saying how much you like trading and then move onto you'll do it because of the money and then move into filming. Get your **** straight, seriously.(Original post by hykt)

Re: Advice WantedBy the time I started working during my 2nd year summer, it was my fourth internship.(Original post by uni-mon)

It's hilarious that you had to mention the start-up seeing I founded a cloud computing company half-way through my first year and raised my first round of capital by the end of that year's summer.
Definitely not 12, but I can speak 5, 4 of them being full-working proficiency.
Grammy? Blew it here, kid. -
Re: Advice WantedMwaha! So you don't have a grammy!(Original post by Zalachenko)

Re: Advice WantedNot as uncommon as you might think. Also I think he's saying his summer internship was his 4th. So he had 3 before doing the summer.(Original post by uni-mon)
