Dentistry - do you need an on going activity that requires good manual dexterity?
Or will a one off example of where you put together a model kit do?

And at the end, you charge the owner of the model £70 and tell him to floss more.

What are you on about? I'm talking about demonstrating manual dexterity on the personal statement.

If you're having a dig at the cost of dental treatment, well you only have the cost of dental materials to blame for that. Dentists need to make an income too.

I think he's having a dig at how much dentists get paid. He's probably implying the guy I buy the model from will be charged £70 by the dentist and just be told to floss more (because that's all dentists do isn't it, tell people to floss more(!))

Ahh i see, what an idiot. Funny how people seem to find it acceptable to come on here and judge dentists for charging what they deem to be too much money. You don't see people trolling the medical forum abusing them about the shortcomings of the NHS and poor state of some of our hospitals. You get what you pay for, simples.

I think that would suffice, if they seem to want evidence that it is ongoing you could always say putting together model kits is a hobby of yours?

Erm no it wouldn't becuase the wheels soon come off that plan if you have an MMI interview where you actually have to make something, someone with good dexterity even under pressure would do a better job then someone who has no real experience. Plus if you have a real hobby you should gain an eye for detail that too is important. Incidentally dexiterity extends to more then making models, getting involved with renovation projects commercial or community would build dexterity and attention to detail.

Well, my understanding of his qu was if it would be ok as an example or not, whether he actually he has good dexterity is another matter.

Dude I know you mean well in your posts but you always come across like you have an attitude problem. Sort it out before you start treating real patients.
