I did mine and the stimulus cards went really well. Just make sure you plan for the spontaneous questions too in your 20 minutes as you can often guess the sort of responses they'll give. But yeah anything could come up it's normally along the lines of should/shouldn't we allow this thing or are these groups effective so I'd definitely plan for that although anything could come up really. Good luck.

I had awful stimulus cards in mine on Wednesday, although they were on my two worst topics so that's probably why I couldn't do them, other people in my year who did it seemed to get pretty good ones though, just make sure you know basic vocab and make and develop several points during your presentation, because that's what gets you marks.

what cards came up? my exams next week and my teacher hasnt finished unit 3:-(

I'm not sure of the rules really and probably sound like an idiot but last time I said something remotely exam related I got a caution. :/

Just make sure you revise the stuff I said and you should be OK. Idk all the cards anyway. Plus obvious vocab for each topic and try to have argument points too but don't give them all away in your 1 minute speech save some for the discussion.

Probably... :P wealth/poverty and pressure groups, and I happen to know that there was one on integration among children and one on machines taking over the world too

Hi,
Would anyone be able to give an indication towards the level of the topics this year. The last two years have obviously varied massively, would you say that this year's are harder or on par with the previous stimulus cards?

I had an external examiner, which was actually good because my teacher tends to just sit and let me stutter, but she picked up on it when I didn't know what to say and asked another question.

Hello! I was given a choice between a science card on machines and electric cars. Went quite badly :O Can anyone remember what letters those cards were (a-f) cus I have forgotten? How did everyone else's go?
