I have been reading his views on the Fall of the Protectorate
I dont really agree, he is just spouting his prejudices onto a page
    What are your opinions?

I disagree, of course no Historians views are purely objective, as long as he justifies why he thinks the protectorate collapsed, due to N factor, he can say what he wants.

Don't know who he is. All I know is that anything about the Protectorate is incredibly boring and dull as dishwater. I feel sorry for historians who have to write about the Protectorate, but then, I guess someone has to.

I don't think he just writes on the Protectorate, he has written a few books on the German Empire at the dawn of the 20th Century, and he has a passion for the chartists
