Chemically straightening hair - for guys?
Hey, I was wondering what your experiences were with chemically straightening hair (namely guys who have done it permanently)? This is because I want to grow my hair long - and when I have had it previously very long it is very curly and messy and I don't like it very much. I tried straightening it for 20 minutes every morning but it kept getting messed up by the wind. The style I want is more of a sort of "rock and roll" style but I simply couldn't achieve that when I previously grow my hair long without straightening it.

Where could I get my hair straightened and how much does it cost?

Surely there must be at least 1 other guy who's had his hair straightened?!

    Hey
I'm not a guy! But I have hadmy hair chemically straightened twice; one with yuko and once with ionic.
The first time (yuko) I had it done n Bristol (Jasper hair) and it cost me £300. My hair was several inches below my shoulder (maybe 6?). My hair was not dead straight after (my hair i VERY curly and frizzynaturally), but t was almost straight when washed and easily staightened and stayed straight (miracle!).
The second time was with ionic and was for a touch up of6/7 inches of curly root. It cost me £180 that timeand I had it done in Cardiff at chi-chi salon. Again not dead sdead straight, bu it seems straighter than last time I think and it is wher I would go back again for further touch ups. I definitely recommend it and am so plased I had it done as it has made my lifeSO much easier!

So is it really expensive to chemically maintain straight hair? Could I straighten it once chemically and then just use flat irons on the roots as it grows out?

There is something called Str8forward by Scott Cornwell that straightens hair, you can get it from boots for £10. Im about to try this out myself, I just need to get 3 days off work in a row as your not allowed to tie your hair back for 3 days and I need to.
