Re: What shall I do with my free 4 months?
I know you don't wanna hear this, but going by the current issues around students/graduates/unemployment, I'd say you'd be more than wise to invest the 4 months in some kind of work experience. I'd personally try and get 4 placements in areas of interest/ambition, of a month each. Each to their own anyways.

Re: What shall I do with my free 4 months?
I've got the same problem! If I can't find a job I'm going to go around begging (ok, maybe not quite begging, but fluttering my eyelashes and asking nicely) for work experience, or try and volunteer in a charity shop in town. Then there's a whole heap of things I want to do, I want to learn a few things on guitar, practice some German because I didn't take it as a subject this year so I've fallen way behind, watch a load of classic films and read a load of classic books I've been meaning to watch/read for ages but never got round to, hang out with my friends, which'll be hard since they're all going off on holidays, I need to learn how to drive (hoping to pass my test before I leave for uni), how to cook without killing people
, and I'm going to try and go to the gym more this summer. And actually get down to writing some of the stories I always have ideas for. I'll probably end up doing one thing on that list, but it's good to have goals. Just think of a tonne of things you want to do and write them down, then when you're bored, you can try one of them. I'll just end up watching Game of Thrones, most likely, I swore to my friend that I'd watch both series so far. My friends and I are trying to organise having a party as well, barbeque and stuff, but because everyone's working/on holiday and stuff I doubt it's actually going to happen, and if it does, there'll be about 3 of us there. So I sympathise, it's weird thinking about having nothing to do for four months.

I have the same thing
tried to get work experience, got lots of rejections, so I'm gonna do voluntary work this summer, and sell jewellery I've made at car boot sales on the weekends
Try to find something semi-productive to do, you don't want to waste away your summer doing nothing
