AS Biology Unit 1 AQA MAY 14th 2012!
    Hi everyone!
So I've posted here for a few reasons...
Firstly I've got two topics left to cover before the exam on mondnay... 'Enzymes and the digestive system' and 'Cells and movement in and out of them'. Any help on those topics would be greatly appreciated seeing as I do not understand them at all!
Also, what is everyone doing in general to revision? Any tips on getting me a B for this module? What do we predict will come up for the big questions?

Good luck for the exam everyone!
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Not enough detail with the emulsion test and elsewhere lacks important detail which are on the markschemes, but some might be their as i can't read half of it due to the size (niice hand writing )
If anyone needs help I can offer it as I know majority of it off by heart, and helping others is good revision for myself

I reckon B and T cells are going to come up? they've never properly come up as a big question so it's due

I don't think I've ever seen a question on an AQA exam that has been on cell mediated immunity involving t-cells...ever.

That's what i'm thinking, or maybe a full explanation on digestion yanno mouth- stomach- intestines and what happens there?
Another bet may be asthma as that's never been a big question either!

I don't know if there'd be enough to write about asthma for it to be a big question though? I definitely think it will be some kind of comparison between T and B lymphocytes - well overdue a question on that. Is anyone feeling really laid back about the exam? I've done all the past papers I can do and pretty much know them off by heart but I haven't gone over the material that hasn't made it into the past papers lately (e.g how protein carriers work that kind of thing) but i'm sat watching TV instead of going over it!

Endocytosis - Materials entering the cell
Exocytosis - materials leaving the cell.

Good idea to look up the phospholipid bilayer for materials entering and leaving the cell. need any help on that just ask me

    Wasn't too bad
I thought that it was alright I especially liked the last two questions, as they were the things that I read about most recently before entering the exam hall

I think the grade boundaries will be a bit lower. The questions were quite indirect and they used two how science works questions so a lot of people would have lost marks easily.

i really liked the back 2 questions and generally found it ok. but agree about the how science works questions - quite difficult to get my head around but yay to lower grade boundaries
