would this be really sad? clubbing alone
Hi, basically there is this small group coming to perform at a club in my Uni city.

However it falls right next to exams and no one is willing to go out around then.

I normally wouldnt go out either but im desperate to see this group!

But because theyre performing in a club it might lok abit sad if im alone?

i would go to a gig alone but a club is kind of different, especially as theyre only performing for 10 mins.

I would just love to see them though.

    what should i do?

If it's going to be so boring that people have to entertain themselves by going "ooh, look at her - looks like she's here alone. How sad", then you probably don't want to go anyway.

If you really think about it, there would be nothing wrong with going. The circumstances you describe are normal and you want to see them so why not? You might feel a little bit unsure about the circumstances but the alternative is missing out entirely. Would that not be worse?
    yeh i suppose your right!!

it just falls at an annoying time when no one csn go out and i shouldnt be going out either but i love the group

You shouldn't feel embarrassed/ashamed of going alone... it's what you want to do.

"Be Who You Are and Say What You Feel Because Those Who Mind Don't Matter and Those Who Matter Don't Mind." - reminds me of that, except DO what you want to do!

I don't get why people have to go to clubs in groups.

You can't hear the bastards so it's not like you're going for the social aspect. And people who just dance with their friends all night and never attempt to meet anyone new? Sad bastards.

Go for it, people who think going out alone is sad are just antisocial idiots who don't get the point of going out. They do it for other people, you have to do it for you if you want to have some real fun.

Go and see the group you like and don't worry about what anyone else thinks! I doubt anyone would even care/notice.

In all fairness when i go out i normally go off and dance on my own anyway! just cos i love dancing! But its always nice to have people to hang with/dance with if theyre there. I can imagine it would feel a bit lonely turning up to a club alone.

How so, it's a place full of people. Are you afraid to talking to strangers? How do you think we make friends in the first place.

I think you'd regret it if you didn't go, who cares what anyone thinks?

If they're only going to be performing for 10 minutes, then go for 10 minutes. I hardly think that in 10 minutes people will realise you're alone.
