I liked sebastian tellier's (france) entry 'divin e' 2008. It didn't win though.
Suppose abba and bucks fizz produced the most comprehensible winners since they were actually the sort of music that sold well at the time.

Are you really saying that the current crop of Europap is better than the past?

Telex are a great band - bit like Kraftwerk but less known. All their albums are on Spotify, check them out!

    In terms of my top Eurovision songs, I'd have to say these are my favourites;

    Save Your Kisses For Me
    Waterloo
    Lapponia (Finland, 1977) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbtPMfQ6eW0
Bank of Fun (Iceland, 1986) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGegovbGTOg
    Fairytale
Love in Rewind (Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2011)

For my all time favourite it's a toss up between:
Turkey 2008 (Mor ve Otesi - Deli) &
Germany 1979 (Dschinghis Khan - Dschinghis Khan)

    My most memorable:
    Austria 2003 (Alf Poier)
    Latvia 2000 (Brainstorm)
    Germany 2006 (Texas Lightning)
    Finland 2006 (Lordi)

2006 was probably the best year!

I didn't really watch the Eurovision until the last few years but my favourite song is Abba's Waterloo! Not that I was alive when it was first out!:p:

I also really liked Greece's song "Secret Combination" from the 2008 Eurovision and Latvia's pirate song "Wolves of the Sea" from the same year.

Good to see Chernobyl had no adverse effects...

In all seriousness, it's a brilliant song, it's what Eurovision is all about to me

Thanks to you I rewatched this video about five times at the weekend - it truly is genius! It definitely deserved to win. I love the female monster on the keyboard.

Argh, you're so right. Puppet On A String is another golden oldie. The problem is, there are just so many good songs that come out of Eurovision!

Argh, how could I forget Dana International! She definitely needs to be in the top 10. Might have to correct my list now.

OK, you're all making my day now by reminding me of all of these incredible songs. I'm going to have to start a Eurovisionfest going in the office tomorrow.
