Re: AS Economics answer structure [AQA]Exam is 75 minutes, here's how you do it:(Original post by CoolStoryBroo)
Can someone please tell me how i need to structure question A,B,C&D? Like what do i need to include in each questions and around how many minutes i should spend on them
Multiple choice - maximum 15 minutes, practice this at home
Spend maximum 5 minutes deciding which question to answer, look at all parts carefully especially part c and d!
Part a, 5 minutes max, basic definition, a line or two wil usually get you all the marks
Part b, 5 minutes max, easy question just look at the data given BUT be careful with the units(look carefully at the table/graph), once again it's only a line or two
Part c, 10 minute max( including a minute or two for thinking time), to get all 12 marks you really need to write 5-8 lines minimum, start of with a definition, 2 points for the answer(expand them slightly) and toss in a diagram where relevant
part d, 5 minutes max plan your answer out( quickly read the extracts), write a few ideas on the question paper as a plan with a bit of detail, eg cut in income tax may reduce unemployment but it will deteriorate current account.
Now you should have around 30mins to write out all your ideas with a lot of detail and definitions and one or two diagrams, I recommend you conclude each point as you go along( eg for and against)
Hope it helps, helped me a lot with unit 1
