If it is working the same way as last year, then you only apply for accommodation when Hertfordshire is your firm choice.
    So no you won't.

(But this is worth double checking, as the applying for accommodation process seems to have changed this year.)

You are right, you only apply for accommodation if Hertfordshire is your firm choice!

so dapz93 that would be a "no" to your question ^^ as soon as you have indicated to herts you are coming here you can start applying, when herts then has your results your application will be processed

hope this helps, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

well usually this ID number is your application number which you can find on your offer letter. Some people have been using the first 8 digits of their UCAS number though, which seemed to work fine for most.

I'm really confused about this as well. I put Hertfordshire as my insurance but they sent me an email last week saying that the online application for accomodation is now open and telling me how to apply.

I don't think I'm going to get the grades for my firm choice, so how will I arrange accomodation at Herts?

Basically I have now applied for the accommodation like a normal person who chose firm would however they will tell you that it cannot be processed until you've chose them as your firm or until they receive your results
