Re: best character in modern familydefinitely Phil, he's just fantastic. I think the good thing about the show though is all the characters have their own quirks and are interesting. If I had to pick a least favourite it would probably be Alex.

on a related note, can't believe there are only 2 episodes left

Gloria over Cam, Manny and Phil by the very narrowest of margins. The show has one of the strongest line-ups I've ever seen in a sitcom, so it was always going to be a tough call.
LOVE sofia vergara. Anyone seen her sons youtube shows of life with her?
I love Cam in the mothers day episode throwing the football at that man on the bike and when he's finding stella with Gloria. He's so funny and well written
Phil is pure greatness - 'some sick bastard autotuned me', and the phil gloria relationship is brilliant
Sofia Vergara's (Gloria's) accent makes me laugh and Claire and Phil make me laugh too. Especially the Phil. I think they all have their moments though 
All of them are good, however.
