    Left accomadation too late?
Hi, well currently i have yet to apply for any accomodation even though Abertay is my first choice. This is because i'm currently in 5th year and thus only have a conditional offer. However i have a niggling thought that i'm leaving applying for halls (specifically alloways, hopefully upgraded) too late to actually get a space. Is this true? As i'd rather wait till i've sat all my exams to get a feel on how i did, maybe even wait till i get my results and know for sure? Thanks.

Can you even apply to accommodation with conditional? I will wait till I get unconditional and even then I might have to wait till I actually have enough money for the full annual rent...

Anyway, I would say that contact the accommodation office at Abertay. They should be able to help you.

Nope you're fine, Accommodation Office announced recently they'd start taking applications end of this month roughly.

No one can apply for accommodation until they have received an Unconditional Offer - so until you get your exam results back, there will still be plenty of space certainly when Scottish exam results come out.

also THESHade - you have the option to pay monthly or all at once - however you DO get a discount for paying all at once.

Nah, I need a UK guarantor and I have only Uncle living in England and I don`t really wanna bother him with that.
+ discount is nice and I won`t have to worry about the monthly payments. So if I get the money, I will go for the annual payment.

Thanks for all the replies. I emailed Abertay accomodation and they said applications are not open yet, but I need to wait until i definitely have a place, ie accepted their offer and achieved suitable grades, so i have to wait till August.

Why August? You will receive ur grades in August? Don`t you finish school in June or something like that?

Already have finished school technically, still need to sit another 4 exams though. You get the results at the start of August. Once i know i made my conditional, then i can apply for accomadation.
