Lost weight but BMI still unhealthy :(
So, I'm about 5'6-5'7 and I now weigh 11 stone, having lost nearly 2 stone. I've been feeling pretty good about myself recently, and been getting compliments, despite wanting to lose another stone still
Anyway, I go to check my BMI and I'm still over weight By quite a bit. I don't really feel over weight though. This has really got me down!
How much should I be worrying? Or should I focus on other things regarding weight loss?

BMI isn't necessarily the best tool to use when judging if you're overweight or not. You sound slightly overweight, but if you feel good, look good and have good health, don't worry. Besides, you may have a lot of muscle and muscle weighs a lot more than fat, so you can be overweight but healthy.

You shouldn't be necessarily "worrying" at all. Yes okay you might still be overweight, but it's not by "quite a bit". It can't be. Normal BMI for somebody who is 5'4" is 10 stone 5lbs, so I imagine it might be around 10 stone 8lbs thereabouts for somebody of your height? (without me actually checking it's my best guess). That's only 6lbs - in the grand scheme of things that's really not that much overweight!

Just keep doing whatever it is you were doing to lose the 2 stone in the first place, and I'm sure you will find yourself at normal weight in no time.

It's really nothing to panic about.

Well I think you should be very happy that you have managed to lose 2 stone, so don't feel down! Perhaps lose a few more pounds- as the poster above said, just keep doing whatever you did to lose those two stone. But even if it still says you are overweight, you should be proud of yourself for what you have achieved so far, just keep up the good work!

For somebody who is 5'6", a BMI of 24.9 (which is apparently on the edge of healthy) is 11 stone exactly, so you're right, OP can't be overweight

Maybe the OP typed it into the BMI calculator wrongly then?
