Dont worry about BMI's- they often make tall/short people come out with really high or really low BMI's as they dont take certain things into consideration.
See your GP if you are worried but I personally think that it will be normal! Eat a balanced diet and as long as youre healthy, you are fine

When I was at that BMI I was extremely unhealthy, and had to be put on special drinks to help me gain weight, which took a long time and I didn't feel at all well for the entirety of that time. Like other people say though BMI isn't always an accurate measure of healthy weight, and you should definitely see a doctor to gain a proper opinion on the matter.

Agree with all the doctor comments, none of us are really qualified to say anything at all to be honest. Good luck OP.

Christmassy, I saw you post on the Eating Disorder thread asking this very question. A BMI of 15.5 when you're undereating is extremely dangerous and you need to seek help. You said your parents are threatening hospitalisation - have you tried outpatient services yet?

    Hi,
I would advise going to the doctors. If it's an eating disorder you think you have then they'll be able to help you or advise you in anyway possible. 15.5 is dangerous especially if you aren't eating, BMI isn't often a very good indicator but i'd recommend going to the doctors just incase. Good luck.

The BMI normal range is huge (18-25) for a reason - everyone is different. However even the smallest adult frames aren't healthy at a BMI of 15.5. Definitely see a doctor.

Ignore the people putting bmi down, a bmi of 15.5 is unhealthy and could indicate a serious problem. Go and see your gp.
