Hull Uni accommodation application problems?
Hi, I'm new so if this is posted in the wrong place, I'm really sorry!
But, I was up bright and early at 7am this morning to apply for undergraduate accommodation, got through the application, went through the process of paying the £150 deposit and got to the point where I was given a CPG number and an online receipt. Great. But, when I went to check if it had gone through, the server had gone down, so I couldn't see.
I just looked now and my application has been 'submitted', but the 'Pay Deposit' option is still available on my account! Does this mean that my deposit didn't go through??
The accommodation office said they won't be able to tell me until tomorrow morning, but now I'm really worried that, if it hasn't gone through because of the server going down, I won't be able to pay until tomorrow evening, by which point, I'll probably end up with my third choice, if anything!
Has anyone else had a similar problem today/ before???

This happened to me too. The application said submitted on my page once the website had recovered but still with the 'pay deposot' option. I rang them this morning to double check and they said it was fine. I wouldn't worry if I were you, but do call to check just in case.
They're so lovely on the phone too, despite probably having hundreds of people call with the same questions. They're very patient and efficient.

I didn't even get that far in the process!!! I tried to pay for thousands of times and it says that my payment failed because my card issuer declined the transaction and it isn't authorized! My card is Visa Electron and I think that's why it doesn't work..I'll open a new debit card Monday, maybe it'll work..anyway, I hope your problem will get sorted out soon!
