    Wireless Adapter help
I need help using this adapter. It's pretty old. I got my cousin's computer while he is away. I normally use a laptop which has wireless built in however the computer does not. I am using my really old computers wireless adapter. It's called

    "Airstation Wireless-G" WLI-U2-KG54L

I tried downloading the driver from the website but it says it is already the latest version. - This is on my laptop.

The computer is not connected to the internet currently so no way to download things on that. I really need help with what to do to get the wireless adapter working. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

What version of Windows are you running? Do you get an error message? Have you tried turning it off and on again?

From my Google searches I can only find Vista drivers for it. However, it seems the wireless chip has it's own Windows 7 driver, so you might want to give that ago. Download link. However, it seems this only works for 64-bit Windows 7. If you're running 32-bit then try this instead.

Worse comes to worse and you might have to re-install Windows which, considering you got this laptop second-hand, might be a good thing.

I agree, if you have to install windows it might be better seeing as it is not a new laptop.

Thanks for the help but I just bought a new adapter for £10. It is a computer, not a laptop and i am only borrowing it so its not really second hand, it's like 3 months old and cost £800 custom built.

My mistake, I presumed it was a laptop for some reason. Good to see you fixed it, even if you had to buy a new one.
