    Hi everyone.
    Hope revising is going well.
Does anyone have any resources / information about 6PH08 Physics Unit 6B : Experimental Physics International Alternative to Internal Assessment?

ikr !! this is extremely important !!!!! im actually freaking out from this ! i have a question when we have to find a mean we ignore a very high value right(anomalous result) but when we find our uncertainty (half of range) so in calculating the range do we include that high value or reject it ...?!?!?!?

I'm trying to do the past-papers; but its sooo hard. God. Bio is way better than this freaking thing.
And plus basically I have to study this by-my-self, because my teacher really sucks. :'( God.
Do you know the % uncertainties equations ?

To me, this paper doesnt look any harder than unit 3. But offcourse, you need a lot of practice to master the paper itself. Go through the past papers, correct yourself with a marking scheme. Youll figure out almost all the important-exam-frequent questions.
BTW, does anybody have the past papers for unit 6 from june 2008-june 210? along with mark schemes? please!!

Uncertainity? write so heres how it works:
To find the uncertainity of a range of VALUES given:
    (Highest value-Smallest value)/2
But sometimes, they might give you just ONE READING, and state the instrument used, i.e 194mm using a metre rule. Uncertainity of a metre rule is +-1mm.
    Thus, Uncertainity of measuremnt= 1/194
For % uncertainities, simply multiply the answer by 100.
Assume, a given equation: v=xy^2. where x's uncertainity is negligible. X=12, and Y=30. Y uncertainity is 4. To find the uncetainity of V, as per equation V=xy^2. The steps below:
    1. X is negligible.
    2.(Uncertainity of Y/ Value of Y)*100=13.33%
    3. Multiply this % uncertaity with the number in the POWER. i.e. IF eqtn is y=p^5, power is 5, so multiply by 5.
    : 13.33*2= 26.66%.
