How can I change my major as a postgraduate in Edingburgh?
I'm an international student, with an offer of Msc in TESOL from Edinburgh. But currently I'm considering changing my major into Applied Linguistics. What's the possiblilty? What should I do?
p.s.Are the majority of the teaching staff in Universtity of Edinburgh Scottish? Would it be hard or struggling for one to get used to the accent there?
I would be very grateful for sincere answers.
    THKS~

You will have to apply to Applied Linguistic program separately and meet their requirements.
The staff is very helpful and they are not only Scotland but from overseas countries too.
You wouldn't have problem with listening to their accent because most of Scottish people in and out of university have nice crisp accent, making it easier to understand. Ya, a problem is they tend to speak quite fast but once used to then you are on your way.

In linguistics, very few of the department are Scottish.
I was taught by academics originating from all over the world. Its a very international university both in terms of students and teaching staff.
