In the US, the term 'Hispanic' refers to inhabitants of Latin America. These people are overwhelmingly mestizo (mixed European and Amerindian), which is why they aren't considered white.

American ''Whites'' are not racially homogenous at all, they are not like ethnic-Europeans who have zero to minimal mtDNA/YDNA non-Caucasoid race admixture. In contrast, American ''Whites'' have substantial Negroid and Amerindian admixture.... so although they self-identify as ''White'', there is little white about them.

Then of course there is the fact many ''White'' Americans have Amerindian blood.

Because people like Zimmerman are considered 'white hispanic' so you can't really say that white hispanic and simply white are one and the same.
Also China, South Korea and Japan are not in south east asia but simply east asia.
Southeast asian countries include the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries around that area.

I imagine there may have been a similar debate in America when people of English & British heritage were eventually outnumbered by all the other ethnic groups - Scandinavians, italians, germans, blacks, native americans etc.

Incidentally, how far are we from this same scenario in Britain with the explosion of babies of mixed race parents, and immigrant booms, we are heading down the same path.

The world is going mixed raced. I have always said this and thankfully its happening.

The only thing is that we need to make sure this happens to the UK. IMO it would be a great day when become a minority majority state like the US and this will ensure racial fairness across the country. No more white majority.

We will have this day too and the faster it becomes the better. The UK needs this IMO.

While there are slightly less white births, 'non white' births are made up of Hispanics, Asians, Blacks etc.
