    Upgraded RAM on MacBook Pro
I just upgraded the RAM on my MacBook Pro from 4GB to 8GB, and it looks like its working fine. The laptop is reading the RAM and the system specs in 'About This Mac' and 'System Profiler' have updated to show the new 8GB RAM.

Thing is, when I was installing the RAM I accidentally touched a bit of the gold pin connectors when taking the RAM out of the box it came from.

Will this affect anything? Its working fine now, but I guess I'm just worried about what might happen in the future..

    Thanks for any help.

You're fine, simply touching the connectors won't harm anything. If you'd bent one or something then it'd be different, but don't worry yourself

    It's fine.

Also the bottom of the PCB doesn't have any connections on it so you can touch it.
