I thought you had to get 90% in all your exams to get an A*?

Dependent on UMS you may be able to get an A overall if you achieve at least 91 (and that's based on you getting 69 in AS)

oh cool! would a B grade seem more to obtain than an A/A* grade then? since i got a C in AS.

what exam board are you with?
I know for WJEC (which I'm sitting)
that out of the 400 marks you probably have to get around 360 for an A

Unfortunatley you won't be able to get an A*, and yes a B grade will be easier to achieve over all. If you did get 60 UMS then you would need at least 80 (an A) to get a B overall.

I'd look on last years grade boundaries for a guideline on the exam board's website It'll give you a pretty good indication.
