I'm going to be sitting Case in July at the Birmingham exam centre and was wondering where it is.

I've sat all my other exams at Manchester.

I tried emailing ICAEW but they just say that it will be printed on the admission details. But if its inconvenient to get to, I'll sit at a different centre, possibly Nottingham, so waiting for admission details is too late.

Also has anyone else sat Case? Do you have any tips for passing? At the moment it seems undoable, I've been told to spend an hour planning, an hour doing the financial analysis and 2 hours doing the actual report. I've done this on all my practice ones, but 2 hours doesnt seem enough for the report & I keep running out of time.

I sat all mine in London, so it may be different, but my exam halls were in quite a few different places, could be the same in Birmingham hence why they won't tell you as they don't know themselfs yet!

Case - Your timings are right. Just stick to time. Report writing-
Cover page/terms of ref - 5 mins
Requirement 1, 2 and 3 - 30 mins each
Executive summary - 25 mins

Having not done this case I might be talking rubbish, but it sounds like you're saying 3 hours on he report whereas he is saying 2 hours. Maybe that's why he's running out of time?

Nope you are correct, it is me who cannot divide! It is 30 mins per requirement!

No problem, who needs division anyway! Not like you're an accountant or anything!
