Re: Can I get good marks by just doing past papers at A level?
both, but if you already have a good subject knowlege then you should focus on papers. Like I know the stuff for maths but its a matter of applying it and practising. 3 of your subjects are essay ones, I only do one essay subject, but I think the best way to do it is to focus on technique, so yea past papers are probably your best bet. But I'd still flick through the text book or my notes every now and then to check im not missing anything that might come up.

Re: Can I get good marks by just doing past papers at A level?past papers, going over notes, questioning yourself ect. so i would read over my business studies notes ( for example), and list points in my head, or ask questions and stuff on it. Or you could get a friend to test you but you cant do that all the time. And spend ALOT of time working, if youve only got 1 week you want to be working most of the time, and proper work as well.(Original post by h.b123)

How do you plan on completing a past paper if you haven't revised any of the material? You'd need to do them in conjunction with revision. Make sure you're reviewing your notes and questioning yourself then do a past paper.
Since you've only got a week left you should be summarising stuff now. -
Re: Can I get good marks by just doing past papers at A level? It really depends person to person, like, everyone always says that practice is the best method for maths revision, but that landed me with an E, so this time round I typed up explanations and made a page for rules explaining why they work etc for each module and find it so much easier to know what the hell is going on with questions.(Original post by h.b123)

Re: Can I get good marks by just doing past papers at A level?
I done English combined with unseen poetry i think the best you can do really is to just make sure you know the context of all poems you're studying with a general understanding of the terminology used in the poems and the effect they produce but the context is the most important.
We had sheets which were filled out by our teachers, some by ourselves with several points relating to each part of the poem such as:
Context/Structure&Form/Grammar&SentenceStructure/Imagery/Phonology and sound patterning/Orthography/
With points placed in each field and the effect they had on the poem. I just revised all 25 of these sheets and in the exam the poetry section should be a breeze provided you have revised well.
I'm not sure if this relates to your problem though because i done English Combined with WJEC but hopefully that helps
If you're looking for a good resource to study analysis's of poems try Shmoop.com , it may not have ALL poems but it's a really good site and i used it to revise my understanding of the poems because it analyses each line of the poem and provides several interpretations of the poem's meaning.
Sorry if this is late.
