University Information Required!
Hi guys, I am planning to go to university to study architecture and I would like some information about this specific university.
How safe are the location around the university?
What are the danger zones in Sheffield (e.g. places to stay away from)?
Is this university an ideal place to live & study?
Also if you're studying at this university, can I get some feedback on the university and if you're doing an architecture course as well, would it be possible if you could provide some feedback how the course is?
Thank you very much for your time!

Re: University Information Required!
Sheffield is one of the safest places in the UK to live, so you shouldn't be worried about anything.
It was rated the Times University Of The Year in 2011, so that should tell you it is an ideal place to live and study. It has the joint highest student satisfaction amongst all the Russell Group Universities.
I'm not sure about the architecture course, but you might try your luck in this thread as I think I've seen a few people in the same course. http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=1876422
Hope you find it useful.

Re: University Information Required!
The only area that has a bad reputation near uni (from what I've heard) is Broomhall. It's a bit south of the main campus and apparently there can be trouble there some nights. But like the previous poster said, Sheffield is one of the safest cities in the UK so the chances of you experiencing any trouble yourself are low.
