Hey there, I'm a 'wegie too, welcome! Good luck in your standard grades, they're an absolute breeze if you do a decent amount of studying. I'm in 6th year, this is my very last week at school

Good luck! I recommend doing lots of extra-curricular work e.g. volunteering at a hospice and doing a first aid course, but I imagine you know that already. That's what helped my brother get into medicine despite not getting 5 As.

Well he wasn't far off(AAAAB) but it was the extra work outside school that counted - it made his personal statement stand out and gave him extra leverage in interviews. He did get turned down by 3 of the 4 he applied to though, so it was a close thing.

Might not remember this but anyhoo, well into my highers now. Got 8 1's in standard grade. Still aiming for medicine and studying away, how did your brother go about his work experience? I cant get a placement ANYWHERE
