A bit confused about retaking the geog1 exam
    Hi,
I took the AQA AS geography exam last year and got an A.
Since then i've moved house and sixth forms, I chose 3 different AS subjects and did geography AS again (i didn't really feel like having a mix of AS and A2 subjects at the same time).
I'm just wondering, if I do terribly badly in the exam this time, will my grade from last year overwrite this? Even though i'm at a different sixth form?

    I'm kinda worried

Why are you resitting it if you got an A?

No. They still take your highest mark

There were timetable issues with doing an A2 subject and other AS subjects

Still makes no sense. I'm assuming you've been attending lessons learning the same things over again too?

But yeah, like Jay said, they just take the highest mark. I guess that might help with getting an A* at A2.

That makes no sense at all. If you wanted to do A2 geography you should of done that and altered your other ASs around the geography rather than redoing AS geography, which you already got an A. seems stupid, and when going to university could knock you back a bit. What does worry me, is that a sixth form allowed it.
