Re: NHS spend £34 for 2 pizza bases...
Cue Cameron suggesting the NHS should sign a sponsorship deal with Dominos to provide gluten free pizza.
Good idea, maybe the government can subsidize gluten free pizza base companies, banks can write AAA CDOs on them and we can get a pizza base bubble to "stimulate" the economy.(Original post by madders94)
Gluten free stuff is ridiculously overpriced but this is ridiculous, I wouldn't have thought gluten-free stuff would need to be prescribed - it is available in supermarkets, the government should bring down the cost of it in supermarkets and stuff.Last edited by ish90an; 25-05-2012 at 02:03. -

This is just one of the many and I don't blame companies for inflating the prices, UK civil servants are crap paymasters and handlers of goods and services, somewhere along the line the company would eventually have to write-off batches of products because some idiot civil servant broke it and blames it on it being broken on delivery, or else you just wait for months when it comes to payment.

Re: NHS spend £34 for 2 pizza bases...Not everyone lives near a supermarket which stocks wheat free food. It's a good hour's walk from where I am to get to a supermarket that stocks wheat free food.(Original post by madders94)

Re: NHS spend £34 for 2 pizza bases...Oh god, don't get me started on the Domino's 'gluten free' debacle!? Gluten free but not suitable for Coeliacs(Original post by ish90an)

I'm Coeliac and get bread on prescription. I am against people getting biscuits and cakes on prescription though. If it is the cost of delivery, etc that is making them expensive, then the vouchers are a good idea. In theory. I just know if I went somewhere with a voucher, it'd take them ages to get my food if they even would get it. The bread I get on prescription isn't available in any Tesco or anywhere. I really don't know what I'd do if I didn't get bread on prescription though. -

I think you need to look at this from more than one perspective.
Now people with diseases like Coeliac's can enjoy man's greater invention. The Pizza. It will have tasted awful. All gluten free stuff does.(Original post by ANARCHY__)
bet it tasted good though. -
Re: NHS spend £34 for 2 pizza bases...Why have I been quoted in two seperate but unrelated threads regarding the same thing with the same reply?(Original post by L i b)
