Glamorgan University 2012! :$
Hey! I'm Rhiannon and i've been a member on here for a few months now, yet this is only my second thread. Poor effort, I know.
My plan in september is to go to Glamorgan university to study Interior Design. I've basically started this thread to try and meet new people that are going to Glamorgan also B)
In my spare time, I enjoy socializing, meeting new people, listening to music & eating! (I seriously class 'eating' as a hobby..). I am currently in my last year of school in good ol' West Wales & I am studying English, RE and Art and Design. Anyhow, enough about me; feel free to post a message homies! -

Heyy, Glamorgan is my firm doing History with Education - Liverpool Hope's my insurance.
I've applied to stay in Mountain Halls as they looked so nice on the open day ^^
I live in Sheffield (North of England) so a long way from the uni, just hoping people understand what i'm saying is all (i speak like the artic monkeys / emmerdale - that sort of random accent) -
Re: Glamorgan University 2012! :$
Haha Im sure people will understand you
I'd be more worried about not understanding the welshies haha.
I haven't been on an open day yet - oops. But I've heard a lot of good things about glam from both previous and current students so I'm looking forward to it.
We may be in the same lectures? Weird to think that haha. Do you know anyone else going to Glam? Looking forward? -
Re: Glamorgan University 2012! :$I hope so at least then there will be 2 of us sat there not just me on my own XD(Original post by brsl)

Re: Glamorgan University 2012! :$Where in Wales are you from? Are you looking forward to starting? I can't wait to move into mountain halls (if I get them) they look soooo nice!(Original post by AmyLouise1304)

Re: Glamorgan University 2012! :$Yes, they'll understand you. For starters, about 40% of the students are English.(Original post by CescaBeth)

If you're not Welsh, then don't get a hang up about the whole Welsh language thing. If you want to learn Welsh, then there are free classes available, but *honestly* nobody expects you to speak it, and it won't crimp your social life (unless you want to hang out in the couple of Welsh-speaking pubs in Cardiff). -
Re: Glamorgan University 2012! :$Im not worried about people not speaking English, it's just the fact that i have family in Newport and some of the time i have to repeat things due to my northern accent XD(Original post by Bodmas)
