Any fans of The Gathering?The Gathering are probably my favourite band, and despite them getting a lot of recognition in a lot of other countries, I have never met a fan of them in the UK.
They started out playing death-doom metal, but by their third album they had the singer Anneke Van Giersbergen, and started playing more atmospheric music, and throughout their career they have done something different on every album, but still kept their own original sound through each one.
Anyway, would be good to talk to people who know them. I've been waiting for them to come to the UK for three years when I started listening to them, but they haven't for nearly a decade

Re: Any fans of The Gathering?Start With Mandylion I would say. The first one with Anneke. The first two are good albums, but nowhere near as the good as from Mandylion onwards.(Original post by Drunk Punx)
