Help! I feel as if all my fire has gone out?
So lately in the past few weeks or so, revision has been going really well, typically managing 4 hours a day, although it has been such a struggle.

However, this ENTIRE week, I've done nothing. Absolutely nothing. I can't get myself to work, I just end up staring into space, or I'll work on one thing for 15 minutes, and then swap and change onto another activity. I feel as if I'm running out of things to do I guess, and I feel as if I'm not benefiting from writing tirelessly for weeks.

My first exam isn't until the 12th June. They finish on the 25th. How do I stop telling myself that I've already learned the syllabus (which to be honest, I haven't FULLY), and how on earth do I get myself to work? This isn't your typical procrastination...I'm not doing it so I can sit on twitter all night, its more so that I'm tempted just to give up and tell myself that I know enough for the topic.

    HELP?

I'm exactly the same, I had a great 3-4 weeks of revision and now nothing!! I've never really been any good at motivating myself to get on with it, but when I think about how much difference it can make with just a few hours of good quality revision, it makes me want to do it. Also, don't panic or feel guilty that this week hasn't been great for you, i'm trying to do the same! Just put it behind you and keep focusing on how hard you'll work next week.

Sometimes though, you just have to sit down and force yourself to do it, even if you're feeling demotivated or blank or just not in the mood. Good luck, hope next week picks up, but remember you're in control of your revision! Don't let the motivation come to you, just do it

Aww thankyou Its nice to know that I'm not alone with this feeling, it really is SO frustrating. I will try and focus more next week. Perhaps a revision timetable would be more useful?

I have the same problem, I've been working ridiculously hard all year and now, when everyone has just started working I've stopped It's like I've run out of steam!

If you've already learnt the syllabus then get working on your exam technique and do some past papers. That way, you'll either do well and your laziness is justified, or you'll fail and scare yourself into revising so you do well for the real thing.

Lol yeah, I think its the fact that I've overworked myself so much, and my body's gone into shut-down-mode.
Perhaps next week I'll get some practice essay questions and test myself, I guess that way I'll know if I'm doomed or not
