Is it difficult to achieve an A in GCSE English Literature
I've recently completed 2 of my English Literature exams. (Books and Poetry)
For the Books exams I had to do Inspector calls which the question was something like; How is Inspector Goole important and how does priestley what does priestley use to convey this?
I'd also completed the Mice of men question surrounding Curley's wife.
For the Poetry exam I was doing Relationships and so answered the question on Quickdraw, comparing it with In Paris With You as the question wanted the theme of "Strong Feelings". Would this have been a good comparison because they don't show the feelings towards the Poets lovers, only the hurt that has been caused by these strong feelings which is why i'm on edge!
I thought the unseen was extremely easy and felt i've completed it well, however, I couldn't really find any poetic techniques so i just stated what i felt.. would this lower my grade significantly?
In my English Literature Coursework i'd also achieved 31 out of 40 which i think is equivalent to a high B or an A.
From personal experience, How did you get on in your English Literature and how were your results?
P.S Sorry for such a long question! -

I did the exact same books as you, I really enjoyed doing the exam haha! I also did relationships and chose to compare Quickdraw and The Farmers Bride due to frustration and broken relationships, and perhaps the strong feeling of unrequited love. I think your choice was well suited!
Yeah I think the unseen poem was very easy too, hoping I answered it well though! I'm sure you'll get an A, hoping we've both done well
