iRig - Is it worth it?
I have an iPhone not an iPad, but I was wondering for people who use the 'iRig' how does it compare to other effects pedals?

I've heard it's a awful lot cheaper alternative to buying separate pedals but what is the sound quality actually like? does it really sound like a physical pedal?

Also I was wonder how awkward is it to switch effect in the middle of playing?

    Thanks,

    Mike.

iRig is not the best, but there is a free app called AmpKit, which basically does the same thing but a lot better. They've got their own cable (http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-revi...R1YCKIRFJ974NQ) which is supposedly much better than the iRig setup (it uses battery power to reduce feedback). If you play it through an amp you get some really crunchy effects, I've got a ****ty little Yamaha and it sounds great through there!
