    Glasgow or Exeter?? Help :(
    Hi guys,
I'm an EU student that applied for History and Politics. I got offers from 3 uni's (Glasgow, Exeter and Royal Holloway). At the moment I'm debating between Exeter and Glasgow...
My main dilemma is this: Glasgow seems to be an amazing uni that for us EU students is FREE! So I won't finish uni with 27,000 pounds plus in debt. The city also seems really dynamic and vibrant, though I have heard its a bit dangerous. Also its highly ranked internationally, but doesn't seem to fare as well nationally.
Exeter, on the other hand, is ranked quite highly nationally and isn't as great internationally. I've visited Exeter, and though the high street is a bit ugly, the campus is lovely. Exeter has a fabulous location being a little in the countryside, yet so close to the sea. The program also seems more geared towards my interests... But then of course there is the debt.

So in short, a really difficult decision between two great uni's! I would really appreciate any and all advice, especially if you attend either university!

Both of the universities are highly regarded, so there's not much to choose from there.

I've never actually been to Glasgow, but in my experience student areas within cities are invariably quite safe, and even if you are close to areas that are a bit dodgy (for instance, I live about a mile away from one of Manchester's most notorious areas) then you can generally keep yourself safe with a simple mantra: Don't Be An Idiot. So don't walk home alone at night, don't go for late night wanders around Easterhouse, and don't let people tailgate into your accommodation. And anyway, I've heard that parts of Glasgow are actually quite nice!

Ultimately, you're going to have to weigh up whether having a course that is more suited to you is worth £27k . . . it's not an easy decision.
