M88 - Public Transport Liveries Motion
M88 - Public Transport Liveries Motion, barnetlad'This House notes the benefits to be gained in a city or area from having a common livery for public transport even if operated by different companies and the unifying impact it has, such as red London Buses.

This House therefore supports the extension of this principle on a 12 month trial with Greater Manchester being chosen as one of the areas with the largest number of different companies. Buses, Manchester Metrolink and licensed taxis should all be painted sky blue in colour. Barton Transport (now known as Trent Barton) will not be permitted to set up operations in the area.'

I do like this idea. How much will it cost to implement though, and how do you intend to get all transport providers to take part - especially those with distinct, nationwide brands such as Stagecoach.

I don't think you quite understood the motion.

Like the motion, but MRLP and barnetlad are really losing their touch. It's funny in a 'ok I get that joke' way, but not in a 'ha-ha' way.
