How do you turn acquaintances into friends?
By aquaintances I'm just referring to people you talk to occasionally with a nice hello or whatever but afterwards you don't have contact for ages. I seem to have tons of them but hardly any people I would actually regard as a "friend". Is it is simple as asking them if they want to go out to the cinema or something and hoping they accept? Any advice will be much appreciated

Re: How do you turn acquaintances into friends?Something along these lines.(Original post by SugarPuffs)
Get their contact info and then plan things to do with them. If they've known you for a reasonable amount of time they'll come along
However, if you truly "click" it just happens naturally. -
Re: How do you turn acquaintances into friends?Yes, it is that simple. Although the pub is probably a better bet than the cinema.(Original post by Multitalented me)

Try reading "Stu the cockatoo is new at the zoo", and then try implementing the friendship algorithm

I know a guy who doesn't drink and started going to the pub 3-4 nights a week once he started uni just for the social factor. It's a great way to meet new people.

Re: How do you turn acquaintances into friends? My family are religious though & also I probably wouldn't like the pub as it would be too rowdy for me lol, not my sort of thing, I'd rather go out to play sports/shopping for things like video games/have a nice meal with friends tbh(Original post by sinfonietta)
